Peter Slowe - Director

Peter set up Projects Abroad in 1992. He is involved with all aspects of the business from setting up new destinations to supervising recruitment campaigns in the US and Continental Europe.

Sue Revill - PA & Senior Administrator

Sue Revill - PA & Senior Administrator

Sue spends the majority of her time working directly for the Managing Director, Dr. Peter Slowe. She also works closely with the Administration team, helping to ensure each volunteer application is dealt with efficiently.

Overseas Team

Role: The Overseas team are responsible for ensuring projects and offices overseas are running well. They also prepare volunteers before they leave and support them while they are away.

Richard Clowes - Deputy Director

Richard Clowes - Deputy Director

Richard coordinates the overseas team and maintains a close contact with our overseas offices. He has to ensure that each of our overseas offices is suitably staffed.

Greg Thomson - Operations Director

Greg Thomson - Operations Director

Greg coordinates placements around the world, supervises the preparation of volunteers and supervises our destination staff and our IT team. He spent six months in 2004 working as Director of our Ghana programme.

Suzi Lamb - International Development Manager

Suzi Lamb - International Development Manager

Suzi liaises with our overseas teams on a daily basis and assists with overseas staff training - most recently working in Thailand and Cambodia. She spent fifteen months working as Assistant Manager in Ghana where she set up and managed two new regions, before joining the overseas team in May 2004.

Suzi has visited Cambodia, Costa Rica, Ghana, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Senegal, South Africa, Thailand and Togo.

Terry Thornhill - Operations Manager

Terry Thornhill - Operations Manager

Terry co-ordinates administrative and communications matters in our offices around the world. He works closely with our IT team on developing our database and innovatory administrative systems.

Elaine Wynn - International Development Officer

Elaine Wynn - International Development Officer

Elaine has worked for Projects Abroad as Assistant Manager in Ghana for 6 months before moving on to work in China. She previously volunteered on a Care project in Sri Lanka in 2006. Elaine joined the UK team in September 2008 and now liaises with our overseas teams on a regular basis.

Elaine has visited Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Fiji, Ghana, Moldova, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Togo.

Andrew Fryer - International Development Officer

Andrew Fryer - International Development Officer

Andy joined the UK team in September 2008. He was a volunteer with Projects Abroad in Nepal in 2004 and worked for a year in total as an Assistant Manager during his two spells in Ghana in 2007 and 2008. Andy has a Masters in Development Studies. In his free time Andy enjoys astrology, long walks on the beach and drumming in his Ghanaian band "Aint no fufu when she's gone."

Claire Howlett - International Development Officer

Claire Howlett - International Development Officer

Claire worked as a member of staff in Senegal, Cambodia and Tanzania before joining the UK team in April 2010. Claire graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in International Management and French in June 2007. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures. In her free time Claire likes to go swimming and watch films.
